Neighborhood Legal Support (NLS) is a 501(c)3 with a mission to provide legal assistance and other support to empower urban core neighborhoods to grow stronger. In addition to providing legal assistance and neighborhood revitalization services.

Homeowner Grants for Minor Home Repair & Tax Abatement

Westside Housing and Habitat for Humanity both offer grants for home repairs. Each organization can provide qualified residents up to $7500 for repairs.

​In addition, exterior repairs of $5000 qualify homeowners for a 10-year property tax abatement on the increased value of the home. You will qualify for this regardless of where the funds to repair or upgrade your home come from. E-mail us, and we will help you apply.

ASSISTANCE FOR RENTERS

If you have a complaint about your rental home that concerns safety or livability, the Neighborhood Association may be able to help. The following resources are also available to assist with landlord issues or emergency rental assistance.
